It is now an absolute necessity to provide migrants with basic and easy to understand information to help them face the main issues affecting their stay in a foreign country, such as:
Health issues and access
To local health care systems
Lack of clear communication and primary information
Hygiene and Housing
Food related problems and risks Climate change
Legal issues
The aim of this project is to develop and promote both traditional (leaflet) and electronic (Smartphone App) tools aiming at improving migrants’ quality of life, in order for them to:
Have access to the primary care provided by nurses and physicians
Learn about the social and healthcare resources available in the host countries
Take the right actions and decisions in case of emergencies
A 12 pages brochure in English has been designed and implemented for circulation among countries participating to EUR-OPA. The objective of the brochure is to inform the International community about rationale, objectives, method and expected results of the project.
A dedicated website in English has been created. The domain name was selected, among available names by analysing the keywords able to optimise the results by search engines. https://www.migrantaid.eu/
Word-free tools aimed at improving migrants’ quality of life by providing them with simple instructions (essentially in cartoons) with information in two languages, English and Arabic, in order to cope with emergencies (medical emergencies and disasters).
