Basic Principles of Building Aseismic Code, Evacuation planning of critical infrastructures in case of an Earthquake or a Fire
Project background
Disasters,
such as earthquakes and fires can have significant impacts on the affected
population, including also loss of public or private heritage. In general,
risks posed for vulnerable groups of population, such as people with
disabilities, can be considered higher due to their susceptibility and usually
their limited ability to protect themselves in case of a disaster. In that
prospect, it is very important to improve preparedness taking into
consideration most vulnerable groups. Evacuation planning of critical
infrastructures in case of an earthquake or a fire is an issue that needs
further elaboration.
